2025 Anthology
Share your story for the Conclave of Gods.
What should you write?
Novel Escapes is seeking bold, imaginative stories that reimagine the myths of the world. From the gods of Olympus to the Orishas of Oruba and Hindu Devas—all mythologies are welcome. We especially encourage stories from BIPOC and Queer writers, and we are excited to center #OwnVoices perspectives that reclaim and reinterpret cultural myths with authenticity, passion, and care.
Examples of mythology stories we’d love to include (but are not limited to):
🌿 Hindu Devas exploring solarpunk
🔥 Yoruba Orishas in fantasy settings
🌊 Polynesian gods on reclaimed islands
🌙 Indigenous deities in dystopian futures
🕯️ Forgotten gods of your own creation
We believe mythology is a shared inheritance—but also a deeply personal and cultural reflection. If you have a story that brings your ancestral, cultural, or personal mythos to life in a way only you can, we want to hear it.
We are also excited to welcome poetry into this anthology! Poems should also be mythos centered and should be 40 lines or less.

Why Submit?
Conclave of Gods is more than a collection of stories. It’s a space to reclaim myth, reimagine the divine, and amplify voices often left unheard in mainstream publishing. We welcome writers from all backgrounds, but we especially seek #OwnVoices stories, and we prioritize submissions from BIPOC and Queer creators whose voices bring new light to ancient tales.
Let the gods speak through your words—whether they bless, curse, or simply remind us of our humanity.
The Fine Print.
